Previously, the party went to Everfrost Grotto in search of the legendary sword, but it turns out to be covered in rust. Ew. Ali Kazam has given the party the means to visit Turnscote, where hopefully they will find a swordsmith that can repair it. They also spent a brief time grinding at the Spiegelspire.
Outside of Alltrades Abbey in the dream world, they take to their Flying Carpet (time 0:36). To the south, they visit the blue-roofed hut south of Alltrades Abbey (time 0:46). He has heard about a swordsmith in Turnscote that can make rusty swords as good as new. Well, that sounds like just what the party needs! He also notes the party's rusted sword.
Afterwards, the party zooms to Turnscote in the real world (time 1:38). It is located on the narrow eastern land south of Alltrades Abbey's ruins. It is easily reached by Flying Carpet or by ship with Lorelei's Harp.
As the party arrives, the guard notices their Turnscote Pendant and lets them in. Ain't that nice of him? This town hosts the game's second Casino. The town sounds like a regular wretched hive of scum and villainy, though, so let's be careful. Unfortunately, prying information out of these folks is not easy. Even the bartender is uncooperative. However, it sounds like someone named Mo the Mole may be able to help them find this master swordsmith fellow. There are shops in the southwest of town, but they don't offer much that is new.
The item shop next to the pub does sell the Bow Tie, which will help in the style contests (time 8:22).
To get to the back part of town, the party must run into a man blocking the alleyway north of the Casino (time 11:15). Offended that the party had the audacity to nudge him, he drags them to his stall in the northwest, where he runs a weapon shop. Too bad he doesn't have anything that is new at this point in time.
Fortunately, the party can now access the outer border of town.
In the northwest of town, the bookshelf near the uncooperative old man contains the 'Rogues Gallery' dreamscape (time 13:23). Ha ha, how a propos! The neighboring wardrobe contains Mini Medal #083.
In the back room of the pub in the northwest of town, the party finds a Fashion Forge (time 14:20). They upgrade the Helm of Sebath for 16,000 gold. Style increases by 21, and defence increases by 5. Definitely a good reason to upgrade the legendary equipment!
Behind the counter in the pub, a barrel contains Mini Medal #084 (time 15:02).
By going around the eastern exterior of town, the party finds the bank (time 17:15). Nothing like a hard-to-access bank.
Through the bank's western door, there is an enclosed area with two treasure chests (time 17:30). They contain 2,500 gold and a Seed of Wisdom.
Next, the party investigates the well outside the eastern door of the Casino (time 18:37). The lady in the house down here indicates that Mo the Mole can be found in the bar. Not the pub, the bar.
The chest of drawers in this house contains a free Thief's Key (time 19:30). Big whoop, game. The neighboring bookshelf contains the book 'Top Disguise Tips'.
Outside the house, there is a Scarewell hiding in the well (time 20:14). Eek! Unfortunately, nothing of note is in this secondary well.
Inside the bar east of the casino, the party plops down fifty gold coins for some info. And such valuable info it is, too! They also learn from a patron that Mo the Mole is upstairs.
By the stairway, they find a bunny girl (time 23:45). She offers a private pattycake session. Well, certainly! In her private pattycake chamber, she gives the party leader a pattycake session, which permanently increases the recipient's Style by 5. Certainly better than the "puff-puff" in DQ9. Carver's reaction in party chat is funny.
Behind a Magic Key door in the southeast, there are two chests (time 25:34). They contain a Seed of Wisdom and a Seed of Life.
Next time, the party will chat with Mo the Mole to scare up information about the master swordsmith.
Thanks for watching!
