Previously, Davilas finished up the Luminary vocation quest line. The next quest line to take care of is the extended story line for Orufea. It is based out of a well south of Orufea in the Western Orufea countryside.

So, after taking care of some business, Davilas next takes the train to Orufea (time 1:31). When he hits town, he sets a Ruura Stone for this delightful place.

Then, he heads out to the Western Orufea countryside (time 4:24). South of town, he drops into the well at E-3 (time 5:21). They're really playing the well trope to the hilt in this game.

In the well, they find Baro, an adorable little thief (time 5:43). Baro issues Quest 156, the first quest in the extended Orufea quest line. It requires completion of the main Orufea storyline. Baro wants Davilas to go to Fosuteiru Square in Myurueru Forest northwest of Orufea.

After accepting the quest, Davilas fast-travels to the entrance of Myurueru Forest (time 6:49). This takes him to northwestern Western Orufea. There, he heads into Myurueru Forest at A-3 (time 7:10). He must then go east to Fosuteiru Square.

Along the way, he reaches Sage Level 11 (time 7:56). He gains 3 skill points, which he puts into Enlightenment for a total of 6 points. At 4 points, he learns a buffing ability. So many abilities seem vocation-specific.

Then, at H-5 in the southeast, he heads into Fosuteiru Square (time 10:21). Silly Baro and his crew actually attempt to steal the statue of Fosuteiru! Then, Baro gets quite a shock. His buddies have to carry him back home.

Afterwards, Davilas must report back to their base. So, he zooms back to Orufea (time 12:40) and heads out to Western Orufea (time 12:58). South of town, he heads into the well at E-3 (time 13:58).

In the well, he reports to Baro (time 14:17). Baro seems to have recovered from his shock. He rewards Davilas with 4 Purple Eyes. Quest 156 complete!

The first montage for the Orufea quest line is available afterwards (time 15:06). Cute.

After the silliness is concluded for now, Davilas jumps to Sage Level 16 (time 15:48). He learns "Zao", or Zing, and "Mahorii", a status healing spell. Looks like he also gets the Quest Master accolade for clearing 150 quests. He gains 11 skill points, which he puts into Enlightenment for a total of 17. He gains stat boosts of 10 to Magic Attack and Magic Mending at 10 and 16 points.

Also, in Baro's well, there is a red chest containing 10 gold (time 17:08). We're rich!

Outside the well, Davilas zooms back to Orufea (time 17:32). Then, he visits Orufea's gate guard (time 18:27). He takes on a gate quest to defeat 20 Lizard Men on Upper Jure Island near Juretto.

Davilas gets teleported to Juretto (time 19:28). After setting a Ruura Stone here, he heads out to Upper Jure Island through the eastern exit (time 21:12).

The Lizard Men seem to show up a bit sporadically in this area (time 23:02).

During the hunt, Davilas reaches Sage Level 17 (time 24:01). He earns 4 skill points, which he puts into Enlightenment for a total of 21.

The hunt includes a Metal Slime kill (time 25:39).

After this battle, Davilas reaches Sage Level 18 (time 26:00). He learns "Dorukuma", or Zammle, the second-tier dark-elemental spell against a single target.

Shortly afterwards, he reaches Sage Level 19 (time 28:37). He gains 4 skill points, which he puts into Enlightenment for a total of 25. At 22 points, he learns a new ability, which debuffs enemies.

At B-3, he comes across a black chest with 3 Magic Vials (time 34:33). Finders keepers!

A little later, Davilas reaches Sage Level 20 (time 37:24). He learns "Manuuha", another status healing spell. He gains 4 skill points, which he puts into Enlightenment for a total of 29.

Afterwards, Davilas and his team polish off the last of 20 Lizard Men (time 38:54).

Back in Orufea, he turns in the gate quest to the guard (time 39:58). He earns 12,750 experience points, orb points, and gold. Gate quest complete!

After the turn-in, Davilas jumps to Sage Level 22 (time 41:02). He gains 3 skill points, which he puts into Enlightenment for a total of 32. At 32 points, he gains a boost of 10 to MP.

Next time, Davilas will continue the Orufea story quests.
