The party has acquired all the legendary equipment, and Heorot has finally earned the right to use the Hero vocation. In this video, the party will check out the Shrine of Legend.
But first, they go visit the Fashion Forge in the real world (time 0:30). There, they spend 10,000 gold to upgrade the Sword of Ramias one level. The sword's Attack goes up by 5, while Style goes up a whopping 20 points. Another upgrade is available at 24,000 gold.
Next, the party Zooms to the dream world (time 1:59) and heads to Clearvale (time 3:01). From there, it is pretty simple to fly east.
Using the Flying Carpet, they can reach the hole where Cloudsgate Citadel once stood (time 3:28). Dropping down the chasm, they arrive near the Shrine of Legend in the real world (time 3:47).
Based on Nevan's advice, Heorot examines each piece of legendary gear (time 5:22). Each one has a different crest engraved upon it.
Then, the party enters the Shrine of Legend (time 6:10). This place has four floor tiles, and the party must set each to the appropriate crest. Each crest corresponds to a piece of equipment, as hinted by the librarian in the shrine near Felonia. Just think of it as a large sprite of the protagonist facing the player. The northern tile requires the crest on the legendary helm, the sun (time 6:52). The western tile requires the crest on the legendary sword, a lightning bolt. The eastern tile requires the crest on the legendary shield, crossed swords. Finally, the southern tile requires the crest on the legendary armour, a heart.
Once all four tiles are properly set, a scene will automatically take over (time 7:13). A flying castle appears overhead and beams the party up, and then ... it's suddenly boss time!
The party has to battle Stormsgate Citadel (time 7:56). That's right, they're battling a flying castle! As for attacks, look out for Thin Air, which can deal a lot of damage. The citadel can stomp the entire party for damage, but that can be mitigated by Kabuff. It also knows Magic Barrier, which will protect it from attack magic. Speaking of magic, the citadel has Kaswoosh in its bag of tricks.
With the citadel's AOE attacks, Multiheal and/or Hustle Dance are important ways to stay healed. Sap works fairly well against it. Be sure to protect the party with Kabuff and Magic Barrier. The protagonist as a Hero and Carver as a Gladiator can rip this foe to shreds, especially if they are Oomphed. Thin Air also works fairly well against it.
After the battle, the party finds themselves at Stormsgate Citadel (time 10:29). Hm ... the layout looks very familiar, if you have completed DQ4 and DQ5. It doesn't look very celestial, though, and there are monsters everywhere.
As the party goes up the first set of stairs, two monsters challenge them (time 11:03). However, the monsters' boss, Lord Dhuran, calls them off. Curious.
Through the door to the northwest, the party finds a skeleton whose spirit has some sad information about the castle (time 13:40). Rightfully, it is Cloudsgate Citadel, home to Lord Zenith, ruler of the dream world. Familiar name! The spirit calls upon the party to free Lord Zenith and return the castle to the dream world. Can do.
In the bedroom nearby, chests of drawers contain a Seed of Life and an Yggdrasil Leaf (time 14:45). These treasures may be missable, so grab them now.
It also seems that a useful human has shown up here. Who could it be? Other critters throughout the castle hint that perhaps Lord Dhuran has been watching the party throughout their adventure. A slime out the southeastern downstairs door has some background to Lord Dhuran's activities here.
A pair of monsters in the library will have a conversation that the party will eavesdrop on (time 19:02). Yes ... just what is their master up to? Too bad there is nothing for the party to read in the whole library.
A monster in the pool room in the west of the upper level hints that humans who have fallen to the dark side can end up here, as well. Sad.
Next time, the party will head up to the throne room and confront Lord Dhuran.
Thanks for watching!
