Previously, Heorot, the Village Lad, and Carver, the Roaming Warrior, found themselves in the strange dimension where they are not visible to others, and they arrived in the town of Port Haven.
Now, it is time for them to explore the interesting seaside town. Even though they cannot directly interact with folks, they can listen in on some juicy information.
In the church, one of the bookshelves contains 'My Confession'. It indicates that a casino is somewhere nearby, and the priest has been a very bad boy. Another book is, 'Let's Explore the Ocean!' It contains information that is intriguing, but it won't be relevant for a long while yet. Yet another book is 'Warrior Cat Tales: Part Two'. The feline author's misadventures continue!
After the church, the party checks out the northern house (time 3:34). 'Creative Carvings Carpentry'. The occupants have a son with a familiar name. Quite a coincidence! The bookshelf holds tomes with interesting titles.
Afterwards, the party checks around the mayor's house south of the church (time 7:12). Mr Mayor certainly isn't winning any popularity contests.
Inside the mayor's house, the northeast chest of drawers contains a Bamboo Spear (time 8:34). Ouch! It's a sharp stick in the eye! Ouch!
The party checks out the jail west of the mayor's house (time 9:04). Someone in here is none too happy with Mr Mayor.
Then, the party enters the main building in the middle of town (time 9:54). This holds the inn, the vault, and all the major shops. Unfortunately, the party cannot shop in their current "condition," but at least they can sneak in 40 winks at the inn. A customer upstairs above the inn will have something intriguing to say about Somnia.
Next to the inn counter, one of the pots contains a Medicinal Herb (time 10:33).
Behind the inn, there is a most unpleasant young woman named Ivy plotting something dastardly against the mayor's maid, Ella. What is she plotting, exactly? We'll find out!
Next to Ivy, there is a pot containing Mini Medal #004 (time 12:08). The wardrobe in her room contains a Pretty Betsy (time 12:31).
The party can even help a man find some gold that has been dropped (time 14:57). Isn't that helpful of them? Too bad they don't get a cut.
The party heads up the western stairs in the building (time 15:40). Here, they will find Patty's Party Planning Place, where they will eventually be able to swap party members in and out. Not yet, though, of course.
Next to Patty's counter is a bookshelf containing 'Hand of the Lovelorn Teen'. A very interesting story that directly references Dragon Quest V! Of course, when I played, I was not really in that much of a quandary as to who to choose as the protagonist's bride. Also, there is 'A Slime's Story: Part Two'. Or should that be 'Part Goo'? Anyway, this is one determined little slime for sure.
The woman in the room left of the stairs has information about a swordsman seeking 'the most powerful sword in the world'. Hm, sounds like someone we may want to meet.
The granny in the southern room will have an intriguing tale to tell about Ra's Mirror (time 19:01). Little in the way of practical information, though.
I wonder if the armour shopkeeper downstairs is speaking of Ivy.
Anyway, in the southwestern portion of the building, the party goes out the eastern door (time 20:51). One of the nearby barrels contains the Iron Claw (time 20:54). This is a new weapon for Carver.
The southern and western exits from the building allow the party to access the western portion of town (time 21:24). The western building is the Somnian Ferry Boarding Hall. Somnia? Very intriguing! Of course, being invisible, the party can't book passage. They could probably try to sneak aboard, but they don't.
In the pub over the ferry ticketing area, there is a pub, where a bunny girl, Donna, is gushing about the swordsman (time 24:09). Seems her boss is tired of the tale, though.
North of the ferry boarding hall, there is a storage building (time 26:41). One of the barrels within contains a Fur Hood (time 26:44). Neither Heorot nor Carver can equip this, but another party member will be able to.
Description continued in the comments.
