Previously, after visiting Aridea in the northeast of the dream world, the party boarded the Mobile Island, bound for the purported paradise known as the Isle o' Smiles. Sounds like a big scam job, but the party won't know for sure until they arrive.

After a short sail, the Mobile Island lands at a large, mostly encircled island north of Aridea in the dream world (time 0:12). No sooner does the party wake up than they see the crewmen's true, monstrous forms. The monsters drag them north to a dark castle.

When the party arrives at the castle, they find that an evil ritual is already underway (time 1:05). Within, the monsters' leader, an evil griffon named Jamirus, speaks of the weaknesses of the humans lured to the Isle o' Smiles. After the little speech, the party is brought before Jamirus. He plans to give them 'the personal touch'. Aw, isn't that sweet?

After the chatting, it is time to fight Jamirus (time 3:21). He is a fairly powerful demon for this point, though he doesn't seem quite as bad as Murdaw. He has a fire claw attack and a grabbing attack that can do plenty of damage. In addition, he has a fierce fire attack that can damage the entire party.

Carver's Double Up ability remains a reliable source of damage. Wind Sickles from the Martial Artist line will also hurt Jamirus pretty well. It is helpful to put up Kabuff to mitigate damage. Milly learns this, of course, and so does the Priest vocation at Rank 5. Insulatle will help, too, if anyone has gone wild enough to start Sage. A couple of Saps will destroy Jamirus's defence. Midheal, the occasional Fullheal from Nevan, and the Staff of Ghent will serve for healing. Honestly, though, I found him just a touch disappointing after Murdaw.

After the battle, another scene takes place (time 6:14). Before he expires, he mentions a 'Lord Mor--' but does not finish the name. Could there be something out there stronger than Murdaw? All the human captives who were recently brought here are freed, and the souls of other captives, including one King Medford Medallion, are freed. King Medford advises the party to bring him their Mini Medals. Aha!

Afterwards, the party is free to leave the ill-named Isle o' Smiles (time 9:45). To the south, they can climb back aboard the Mobile Island (time 10:19). The freed humans are all aboard.

To get underway, the party must talk to the old man at the helm (time 11:27). Again, the strange island sets off. As before, the party must wait out the voyage in the back room (time 13:01). Most of the rescued people are back here. Down the northeast stairway, they find a man who discovered the monsters' secret. There are also a couple of doors that the party cannot open yet.

To complete the voyage to Aridea, the party must talk to the man behind the western counter (time 16:39). He will allow them to rest until they reach Aridea.

Fortunately, things are more pleasant as the party lands at the cape northwest of Aridea (time 17:18). Quite good, in fact: the townspeople have chosen to give the Mobile Island to the party to serve as a ship in the dream world! Yeah! When the party examines the helm, they can pilot the Mobile Island much like the ship in the real world (time 19:07).

Before doing anything else, they head back to Aridea to save (time 19:18). The music is now bright and cheerful here.

Thanks for watching!
