The party continues their victory tour after defeating the Archfiend Mortamor. The dream world has become intangible and invisible again, as it should be. Heorot has dropped off most of the party members at home, most recently Milly and Terry in Felonia.

Next, Heorot and Ashlynn visit Weaver's Peak in the real world (time 1:00). However, the town seems to be abandoned! Where is everyone?

At the mayor's house, they do find Mayor Spindell (time 2:48). It turns out that everyone else in town has travelled to Somnia for the victory celebration. Whew! The mayor doesn't care for that kind of thing, so he stayed home.

Afterwards, the party leaves town (time 4:31). Their final destination is Somnia in the real world (time 4:50). Heorot and Ashlynn appear before King Somnus and Queen Apnea in the throne room. The king and queen are proud of Heorot's accomplishments.

That evening, it is celebration time in the castle (time 6:41). Prince Heorot now has the opportunity to talk with everyone in the castle. He can find many of his party members, including Amos and the monsters.

Finally, in the throne room, Heorot finds Ashlynn, but she's looking a bit see-through as well (time 12:48). Aww, her time in the real world has drawn to an end. A bit sad.

Afterwards, a scene occurs at Cloudsgate Citadel (time 13:40). The citadel now flies to the heavens. Then, the credits roll (time 14:28). During the credits, we are treated to scenes with former party members. Sweet.

Of note is a scene with Terry in Amor's Northern Cave (time 17:37). Hm, Terry seems to have found something...

After the credits, we gain control of Heorot again briefly in Somnia Castle (time 20:33). A chat with the guard to the east reveals that Heorot is meeting with his friends.

As Heorot goes downstairs, we cut to Madame Luca's (time 21:18). Milly has called the party together for some dream-seeing. She shows Pegasus flying to Cloudsgate Citadel, where Lord Zenith and Ashlynn preside over the hatching of an egg. As for what emerges ... I think it is shown clearly enough in DQ4 and DQ5. The end!

Of course, the game is not over yet. The player is given the opportunity to create a starred save (time 23:14). Postgame content is now available.
