Previously, the party pursued Sir Leopold to the Lord High Priest's Residence and defeated him. Unfortunately, Marcello, being the jerk he is, arrested the party and High Priest Rolo on trumped-up charges and imprisoned them on Purgatory Island. Worse yet, Marcello now has Rhapthorne's sceptre. How will the party escape this terrible prison?

As we resume, we gain control of the protagonist in the holding cell on Purgatory Island. Davilas must speak with everyone in the cell. Regardless of your party lineup, your companions in the cell will be Yangus, Jessica, and Angelo.

After Davilas has spoken with everyone, a scene takes place when he approaches the cell door (time 2:16). If one good thing is coming from this, it is High Priest Rolo's change of heart.

Then, a scene new to the 3DS release takes place (time 3:15). Davilas has a flashback to a day many years ago. It involves him, Munchie, Trode, and Medea. Cute and sweet.

We rejoin Davilas in the present day on Purgatory Island (time 9:26).

After the scene, we regain control of the protagonist (time 9:47). If you want to talk to everyone, save the priest next to Angelo for last.

A scene takes place when Davilas approaches the cell door (time 11:46). Hey, guard, why don't you step in range of the spear you neglected to confiscate?

A scene takes place when Davilas speaks to the priest next to Angelo (time 12:10). The priest speaks of the daily guard change. Time passes.

Then, one day, an event takes place (time 14:02). The guards deliver some news that shocks poor Rolo.

We regain control of Davilas after the event (time 15:28). Time to chat with anyone again. One of the priests has had a disturbing dream about the Lord High Priest.

Another scene takes place when Davilas speaks to Rolo (time 17:17). I must say, Rolo's deduction is disturbingly sound. Fortunately, he has also come up with an idea.

In the next scene, the party and their Rolo enact their escape plan (time 18:42). Their acting is truly worthy of an award. What's even more amazing is that the guards buy it.

Unfortunately, the escape itself does not go without a hitch (time 21:49). On the other hand, Rolo proves himself to be a decent bloke.

Another scene takes place when the party reaches the ground floor (time 24:43). Oh, my. That cannot bode well for the prisoners.

Finally, a scene takes place when the party goes outside (time 25:24). They meet a few friendly faces.

After the scene, we regain control of the party aboard the ship (time 26:39). That's what I like, a nice, short prison break. Party chat with the party will reveal more information. In fact, speaking with King Trode a couple of times reveals Marcello's location. The Darktree Leaf on the map will also make the party's next destination clear.

The party Zooms to the Hilltop Hut (time 28:45). There, they save.

Next time, the party will hunt down Marcello.
