Dragon Quest Walk Leveling Guide

In this video, I will be going various methods for leveling in Dragon Quest Walk!
Leveling your characters takes time in Dragon Quest Walk, so if you are starting from the beginning, it could be frustrating, but there are ways for leveling to go a little bit quicker if you have the right equipment, items, and decide on your battles effectively
XP Boost Items
Exp Orbs
Exp Orb- +20% XP for 30 minutes
(Gotten from Mystery Boxes & Event Exchanges)
Basic Class XP Orb- +50% XP for Basic Classes for 30 minutes
(Gotten from Mystery Boxes & Daily Quest)
Long Exp Orb- +20% XP for one hour
(Can be purchased with gems in the Gem Exchange)
Advance Exp Orb- +50% XP for 30 minutes
(Gotten from Mystery Boxes & Event Exchanges)
XP Boost Equipment
きせきのイアリング Miracle Earrings
In regards to equipment that gives you XP boost, there is an accessory that you can purchase depending on the time of the year
The Miracle Earrings are an 4☆ accessory that were introduced during the New Year 2022 Event, but you can purchase during special events in the year
Besides giving you +10 Max MP, the effect of this accessory is that if equipped, the wearer has a rare chance to receive +100% XP from regular field battles, so pretty much you have a rare chance of receiving double XP during a battle
You can only have one Miracle Earrings accessory in your inventory, so only one character can use it, but it can be used for any of the class tiers
エンゼルスライム帽 Angel Slime Hat
As for equipment, there is a 4☆ helmet called the Angel Slime Hat
The Angel Slime Hat can be purchased during special events in Dragon Quest Walk and last appeared in the Golden Week 2023 Event
This was the second time the hat appeared in the game, making it possible to have two of these hats in your inventory
The Angel Slime Hat works for both Basic and Advance Classes and gives the wearer +50% XP from regular field battles
Basic Classes- +50% XP Levels 1~55
Advance Classes- +50% XP Levels 1~75
Class XP Boosts
So that players can quickly level characters, the developers have added permanent XP boosts to both Basic and Advance Classes
Basic Classes- +100% XP Levels 1~55
Advance Classes- +100% XP Levels 1~60
Permanent Stats
Basic and Advance Classes both get permanent stats that increase the amount of XP gained from field battles once a class reaches a certain level
Basic Classes- Lvl 50 Permanent Stat- +10% XP from regular field battles
Advance Classes- Lvl 70 Permanent Stat- +10% XP from regular field battles for Advance Classes under level 90
These stats for the Basic and Advance Classes do stack, so you can have up to +70% XP for Basic Classes and +80% XP for Advance Classes
Events
There are events in the game that also allow players to get extra XP for their characters, though this is mainly going to be for Advance Classes
For the 4th Anniversary, we have a leveling campaign for the Advance Classes
Advance Classes- +50% XP regular field battles Levels 60~75
This level campaign is currently running and will end on October 10th at 14:59 (JST)
In the game, you are going to have Metal Fests, which metal enemy herds will pop up on the field and you can go and fight theses enemies
If you don’t know about metal type enemies, these enemies are a bit hard to defeat and they run away from battle quite often, but if you do defeat them, you get a lot of XP, especially when you are higher level
Having on the Exp Orbs during Metal Fest battles guarantees you a lot of XP from battles, depending on the number of metal enemies that you are in a fight with
With the an Exp Orb activated and fighting higher level metal enemies, if four of the enemies are in the battle, you can possibly get over 100,000 XP for that one battle
Metal Fests occur a few times during the year
DQW Fireworks Festival has two weekends in August where you get double the XP from field battle from 19:00 to 21:00
Any other items or equipment that you have on that also give you boosts to XP will be stacked along with this XP bonus as well
Enemies & Equipment
The quickest way to level in the game is going to be doing field battles, and the quicker that you finish one, the better
Leveling is all about time and you should be focusing on trying to complete 2~3 field battles in one minute (time can vary depending on the animation of the skills that you use)
The weapons that you want to have on should not only do major damage to the field enemies, but also do considerable damage to metal enemies as well
Being able to take out both at the same time and quickly is what is going to be key to leveling fast in the game
