My temporary character, Gimli the Dwarf, is currently working on the Agurani storyline. He previously started the storyline and visited the dwarf wizard Buroggen--and Buroggen's talkative staff--in Akuronia Mountain Mines below Agurani village.

Back Agurani, he completes Quest 136 with little Jirocha at E-4 (time 0:27). One of the rewards is a Genki ball. Turns out those little parchments I've been selling off will give you experience when used. Oops!

After the quest is concluded, Gimli reaches Martial Artist Level 7 (time 2:17).

To continue the story, he goes in to talk with Runana in the church's side room (time 3:03). Sheesh, what's her problem? Buroggen and his chatty staff make an appearance and give Gimli his Ruura Stone! Yay!

This time, he makes sure to set his Ruura Stone in Agurani's church (time 5:25).

After using the experience scroll obtained by completing Quest 136, Gimli jumps from Martial Artist Level 7 to Level 9 (time 7:21). Hello!

At the weapon shop, Gimli gets himself the Level 7 claws (time 8:01). Bronze Claws, maybe? At the neighboring armor shop, he picks up the green tunic, pants, bracers, and boots (time 8:41).

Next, Gimli must visit Hottsi, the dwarf chief. He lives in the large house in the north of Agurani's lower level at D-3 (time 10:32). A scene will take place when he goes into Hottsi's room at D-3. He will find Chief Hottsi and Buroggen within. The staff is still as chatty as ever.

After the scenes, Gimli heads back into Akuronia Mountain Mines (time 13:06).

Again, he heads through the door at F-3 (time 14:07). A scene with Buroggen and Hottsi takes over just as he enters. Oh dear, the guards are down! Something about Runana ... did she force her way past?

After the scene, Gimli continues on through the doors past the guards at F-4 (time 16:00). On the scaffolding, there are more than enough invisible Whip Ghosts to play with.

After a little fighting, Gimli reaches Martial Artist Level 10 (time 17:09). He earns 3 skill points. He puts them into the Martial Artist's first skill, Claws, for a total of 3. At 3 skill points, he learns "Wing Blow."

At F-5, he stumbles across a blue chest with 220 gold (time 18:45).

In the tunnel at E-6, there are farming spots for Copper Ore (time 19:43).

Gimli finds yet another blue chest at D-5 (time 21:06). This one contains 140 gold.

At D-5, there are farming spots for Iron Ore (time 21:15).

By a furnace at D-7, there is a red chest containing 3 Magic Vials (time 22:57).

By another furnace at C-6, there is another red chest containing 3 Copper Ores (time 23:28).

Another open-to-the-sky area can be found in the south at C-8 (time 24:46). There are farming spots here for Iron Ore, and this is another place where he can zoom out of the dungeon.

Gimli reaches Martial Artist Level 11 (time 26:17). He gains 3 skill points, which he puts into Claws for a total of 6.

At the very end of the dungeon, there is a doorway at A-8 leading to the boss room (time 26:59). As Gimli goes inside, there is a scene with Runana and two dwarves, who seem to be hard at work excavating something. She is found by Hottsi, Buroggen, and Buroggen's staff. After some back and forth, they have disturbed something that should have been left undisturbed! Maamon! Is that as in Mamon Mine from Dragon Quest IV?

After the scene, it is time to choose our difficulty and fight Maamon (time 31:10). It looks pretty disgusting, in fact. It's not terribly difficult, though. It has a fairly damaging spirit attack. It emits a dark cloud that can lower defense, but it should not be difficult to wear this foe down.

At the end of this battle, Gimli jumps from Martial Artist Level 11 to Level 13 (time 32:34). He amasses 3 skill points.

After the battle, another scene takes place (time 33:03). Looks like Maamon is about to go berserk. Then it is time for the introductory titles. Looks like Maamon is not too keen on the light. Runana and her flunkies run off. Some voice speaks into the cavern from on high.

After the scene, Gimli finds a chest that Maamon left behind (time 39:37). What is that, Mysterious Mush?

Gimli puts his new 3 skill points into Claws for a total of 9 (time 40:40). At 7 skill points, he gets a boost to attack power.

Back in the main part of the mines, he uses his Ruura Stone to zoom out through the hole in the roof at C-8 (time 41:07).
