After playing Final Fantasy VII for the first time in 1997, I have been hooked on RPGs. The appeal of a long story told over many hours with characters you can grow to love over that time is one of my favorite parts of gaming. Some of my favorite games of all time are RPGs, including the one I mentioned. But there is one series of games I never have tried for the long haul and that is Dragon Quest.
I started Dragon Quest XI around the time it came out. But I never got far into the game, but from what I played, I enjoyed it. I have been meaning to go back one day and play it. With my chat locking it into the calendar, I have now found my excuse to go back. It is time to finally start a classic RPG series with it's latest entry in Dragon Quest XI.
