It's time to put an end to Mordegon's reign of terror! But he'll put up a fierce fight!
As any good final boss, he has more than one form, two in this case. The first form has two actions per turn and in addition to various physical and magical attacks, he can use any effect from the Orbs that the Spectral Sentinels used against us giving him quite a big arsenal. Don't hesitate to go all-out in this fight, you will be fully healed before the second battle...
Which is where things become really serious! You now have two targets to deal with, The Lord of Shadows himself as well as the Mordragon. The fight will start with them alternating their place and occasionally skipping turns, making it fairly manageable.
But as the fight advances, you will have to face both at once and they will not be merciful! They will use a full arsenal of physical attacks and spells, most notably, Mordragon can grab a character for a turn or two and envenom them in the process, and The Lord of Shadows can Pep both parts up, enabling them to use some Pep Skills, including one that casts a status on your party causing them to take some Dark damage at the beginning of every character's turn, and the Mighty Magic Burst, dealing important damage to your entire party! The Lord of Shadows can also restore both his and the dragon's MP so they'll never run out.
They'll also use a lot of ailments, most notably Sleep, and can dispel all of your buffs, so don't spend too much time buffing your party, but do cast at least a few to potentially trigger the Ice Wave, one action they spend dispelling your status is one action they do not use to hurt you, after all!
Lastly, this will be a long battle, so it'd be best to have more foresight than me and pack some MP-restoring items.

And we eventually slay The Lord of Shadows once and for all! But is our adventure really over...?
