Previously, Davilas and Emma climbed the God's Rock and completed their coming-of-age ceremony. Now, Davilas will explore his hometown, Ishi Village, and seek out treasures. This is my first time playing, so I can't guarantee that I will find every single thing, but I'll try to find everything I can.
After the game loads, Davilas claims the items from the item codes included with the game (time 0:44). They provide red vest and a gold vest. I believe the red vest boosts experience, while the gold vest certainly boosts gold earned in battle. I will go with the gold vest for now.
In the south room of the church, Davilas finds an Antidotal Herb in a barrel (time 2:12).
Then Davilas heads out to explore town. He cannot exit either north or south yet.
In Manoro's house in the north-central part of town, Davilas finds 6 Gold in a barrel (time 4:21).
Behind Dan's house in the northwest, a chest contains a Cypress Stick (time 5:37). It is not as good as Davilas's current weapons, though.
From the front of Dan's house, Davilas can jump up the crates onto the roof (time 6:11). By the chimney on the roof, he finds a spawn point for Medicinal Herbs.
By Dan's southeast fence, Davilas finds a Medicinal Herb in a barrel (time 6:28).
Inside Dan's house, a bookshelf contains a readable book. Could it be a book of puns?
On the southwest side of the church, Davilas finds a barrel containing 6 Gold (time 9:38).
In a sheltered area on the back (east) side of the item shop, Davilas finds a barrel containing 2 Gold (time 11:53). Yippee. The item shop itself is not open for business right now, but it will be later.
By a marked NPC in the south of the village, Davilas can head east into a cave (time 15:02). Up the ladder, he will find a storeroom.
The pots and barrels in the storeroom contain Copper Ore, a Seed of Agility, and 7 Gold (time 15:30).
In the southeast of town, there is another storeroom at ground level (time 17:19). However, it is guarded by a Magic Key door. Something to remember for later! Note that it is marked on the map, which is so convenient.
In the east of town, Ruki will guide Davilas northeast towards his house (time 17:41). Before going up there, Davilas will finish exploring the village.
On the roof of the eastern house, there is a spawn point for Beautiful Branches (time 18:04).
Behind the hay shed near the eastern house, there is a pot containing 5 Gold (time 18:27).
Behind the western house in this area, a pot contains an Antidotal Herb (time 19:38). In this house, one of the bookshelves has a book about horses.
Davilas returns to Dan's roof to claim a respawned Medicinal Herb (time 21:53).
Behind Davilas's house in the northeast, a barrel contains 10 Gold (time 22:21).
On the roof of the barn near Davilas's house, there is a spawn point for Flurry Feathers (time 23:04). Also, there is a chest on this roof with 50 Gold.
Finally, Davilas heads into his house to advance the story (time 23:59). After Perura congratulates Davilas and Emma on completing the ceremony, Emma explains what Davilas's mark did on the summit. Perura gives Davilas a pendant. Then, I believe she explains that Davilas arrived in the village 16 years ago and that he is the descendant of some great hero. She advises him to seek information at Derukadaaru Kingdom to the north.
Afterwards, we regain control of Davilas later that evening (time 27:04).
In the attic of his house, a pot contains 10 Gold (time 27:32).
In the main room, the wardrobe contains Plain Clothes (time 28:01). Too bad it isn't Wayfarer's Clothes. One of the barrels contains a Medicinal Herb (time 28:16).
Davilas talks to Perura (time 28:22). I'm not sure if she says anything notable.
In the southwest of town, Davilas talks to Emma by the large tree (time 29:11). I believe Emma frequently loses her scarf in this tree. She points out a purple star up in the sky, which I believe is supposed to be the ancient hero looking down on the world. I'm pretty sure she's sad about Davilas leaving town tomorrow.
Davilas heads home to bed afterwards. In the morning, he has donned his new traveling clothes (time 31:31). Hm, reminds me of another DQ game with a character dressed in purple ... didn't that guy turn out to be a prince? Anyway, it is now time for Davilas to head north to Derukadaaru Kingdom.
The description is continued in the comments.
