Previously, the party found Serena again on their way to Arboria. Serena believes that Veronica can be found at the Grove of Repose north of town.
After resuming, the party goes north to the Grove of Repose. As they head in, a long scene takes place. A vision from Veronica's staff shows something that happened the day of the fall. Poor Serena.
The party returns to Arboria for another scene. Benedictus holds a memorial service.
Afterwards, the party heads up to the cathedral to meet with Benedictus. Benedictus has some information regarding their next steps. While he does some research, he bids the party rest at the inn.
At the inn, the party chooses to rest. Davilas wakes up in the night. He can find his party members around Arboria. Veronica and Serena's parents have some interesting information regarding the girls.
As Davilas approaches the gazebo just northwest of the inn, a scene takes place with Serena. After some events, Serena inherits her sister's powers. Veronica's skills appear on Serena's Character Builder, and Serena learns Veronica's spells. Very interesting and useful. But I'd rather have Veronica back.
Davilas returns to the inn to spend the rest of the night. When he wakes up, he meets Serena at the door. They must now meet Benedictus at the top of the mountain.
Davilas and Serena take the door south of the entrance to the cathedral. The passage beyond leads up to the Luminary's Landing.
At the summit, they meet Benedictus and the rest of the party. Benedictus gives the party the Calamus Flute. Some very strange things happen when Davilas takes it. The party meets Cetacea, the flying whale. Of all the flying conveyances in the series, this is ... the strangest.
The player earns the trophy "The Loveliest Catch" for reviving Cetacea. The party gains control aboard Cetacea in the Sky. Their story goal is a floating island east of Mordegon's keep. Landing is a bit more restrictive in this game than in previous games. The party can only land at floating islands or at golden pillars. However, they can Zoom to any Zoom destination while flying. The party can play the Calamus Flute whenver they want to ride upon Cetacea's back. Whenever they do, they will start over the Luminary's Landing above Arboria.
Next time, the party will fly to the floating island east of Mordegon's flying castle.
Thanks for watching!
