Dragon Scroll: Yomigaerishi Maryuu - Ending Secrets
2This video is about a handful of secrets relating to the screen after the ending cinematic plays and the thieves run across the screen. Unfortunately, none of this is translated in the fan translation and the password didn't seem to work.
0:00 Ending (Truncated)
-This is a trimmed part of the regular ending to show when to enter the button combination. After the chest slides off the screen and the three thieves start running about, press Up+A+B simultaneously on Controller 2 to reach the first secret.
0:18 Narume's Prophecy [Controller 2: Up+A+B]
-According to the TCRF page, the text reads: "Prophecy of the God, Narume. If the scroll is stolen, and peace and tranquility broken, the GOLD DRAGON will awaken once more. Here lies the emissary of the god, Narume, holder of the shining scale, their quest fulfilled." After this you can choose to trigger one of three other secrets, the one I chose first was Down+A+B on Controller 1.

-This brings the previous screen's animation to the current one, replacing the bottom part of the text. Pressing Up+A+B on Controller 2 again will refresh the Prophecy screen, allowing for more commands. Next, on Controller 1, press A 3 times, then B 9 times, then A 6 more times, then B 9 times again.
1:21 Developer Message [Ax3, Bx9, Ax6, Bx9] [Select+A+B]
-The bottom part of the text gets blanked, after which you must press Select+A to reveal the first line, and Select twice more to reveal the other two. Again borrowing from TCRF, it says "I trust you'll be happy, so I'll leave you be. Wishing you the best, Mako. From Nobu-chan". The last secret is revealed by pressing Select+A+B on Controller 1.
1:39 Easter Egg Hint
-A sound effect plays and the bottom line is once again replaced with something new, this time reading "The password.... might have a secret.", which I think is a hint to the original piece of text that all these secrets keep replacing. When this secret is activated, you can no longer return to the title screen with the Start button, but must instead press A and view the ending cinematic again. Once you enter that text into the password screen, the following screen will be displayed.

-Pretty much what you'd expect from that title. According to the TCRF page, it reads:
"Konami Newspaper
NEWS FLASH
Chrome Dragon destroyed!"

Somehow unaware of that page until the day after the stream, I missed showing off this cool little easter egg in the ending. Had a hunch that there was a sound test or something hidden there Wai Wai style, and I tried a bunch of button combinations before, but I didn't consider the classic Controller 2 shenanigans.
