DragonSoul is an MMORPG (Massive Multi-player Online Role-Playing Game) that takes place in an historical Asian setting. The design of the game is towards PvP (Player vs. Player) but also has deep single-player PvE (Player vs. Environment) content.
The game takes place in an historical Asian setting. The land is divided into Kingdoms which can be comprised of Legions, Guilds, independent citizens, and outlaw rogues. Characters can specialize in two different styles for each class, usually a toe-to-toe and a ranged type, and can develop each or both as they like. They can study and develop skills to create a variety of items to use or sell. Equipment can be strengthened, upgraded, re-forged, and disassembled to collect materials to create more. Many types of pets and mounts are available with skills and attributes for each that can be evolved along with the character.
Characters can battle each other individually in agreed upon duels, singly or partied in expeditions or Guild/Legion conflicts, or in massive groups in all-out Kingdom wars. Kingdom alliances can be negotiated, enemies declared, and actions taken to precipitate or retaliate conflict. Characters can be active PvP combatants, front or rear area support, or non-combatant crafters.
