9Dragonfly is now on his own and eager to explore Amethyst Mountain, perhaps to establish territory next to his cousin Tarantula and start his own pack. He enjoys collecting items, exploring new locations, and the thrill of hunting. However, he is naive. Less of a survivalist than his cousin, he would easily follow his curiosity into danger.
In this episode, Dragonfly has a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Starting off with darkness, rain, and a rival wolf attack that sets the tone for the entire rest of the episode- Dragonfly struggles to find enough food for himself and his entire family. More rival wolves and elk hooves only add to the damage, making it nearly impossible for Dragonfly to recover. At the same time his pups begin to fall ill right and left, with one particularly stubborn pup set on starving themselves for fun.
