1,440Dragonmancer Conference augment and how to play it.
I (editor) want to discuss why slow-rolling on lv5 is good. First of all, buying 1-2gold units (karma/kaisa/sett) is cheaper than 3 costs (volibear/lee sin), second of all, once you hit your 1-2gold units, your average per round gold from the augment goes from 1-2 gold average to a solid 3 (2 sides of the same coin).
Furthermore, since there is no 4 cost dragonmancer, every shop-drop-percentage that goes into 4 costs is a loss for your rolls, because there are no 4 cost mancers. Here is what I mean by that,
at lv5 droprates
Tier 1 - 45% (Karma/Sett)
Tier 2 - 33% (Kaisa)
Tier 3 - 20% (Volibear/Lee Sin)
Tier 4 - 2% (None)
Tier 5 - 0% (Yasuo)
That means, because there is 2 tier1 mancer units, 1 tier 2 and 2 tier 3 mancer units, you're only losing 2% of the total 100%, but if you go to lv6 and 7, those percentages increase more and more (lv6, 5%, and lv7 15%) into 4 costs which is useless towards your rolls for mancer units. I'm literally super bad at math, but I'm just throwing this out there so someone who actually knows math maybe teach us all why slowrolling 5 is better.
Also, maybe, not only do you NOT want your shop-odds to be in tier 4, you also want to maximize them in tier 1 and tier 3 because those both hold 2 mancer units each, as oppose to tier2 which only holds kaisa. And situation is ALSO maximized on lv5, as opposed to lv6 and 7.
