This is one of the most fun and powerful abilities to play with in this game.
There's just something so satisfying about actually landing one of these directly where it hurts and seeing many health bars taken off.

Not every enemy is vulnerable to Great Gamble however and chief among them is the most annoying and unique enemy in the game, the grim reaper of Bitterblack Isle. I tried so many times to find the correct angle, weapons, stats, and method to try to kill all of his health in one GG but I just cannot.
When I shot him for 10 health bars he was taking increased damage for some unknown reason and I could never really replicate that.
Being that he is immune to debilitations or cc effects of any kind as you would expect, inflicting freeze/lowered defenses on him is not possible.

I don't believe there is a weapon in the other slot that would increase my damage potential more than the force hatchet, but feel free to suggest if you can think of one.
I am of course aware that it is much more effective to spam him with tenfold flurry blast arrows but that's quite frankly just boring. In my games and by extension videos, I try to do stuff that's uniquely difficult or interesting or both, when possible.

Other than Death, Great Gamble is just some of the best fun I've had in the game, and as a concept it's not exactly common in the gaming landscape so I hope we see the ability again in the upcoming sequel.
