This is a short tutorial on how to run Dungeons and Dragons: Dragonshard on a Microsoft Surface Pro with Windows 8.1.
Basically, the only thing needed to run the game I purchased from GOG, was to set the compatibility settings to Windows 98. Before that, I got all sorts of crashes to desktop and fatal exceptions (especially after clicking start after loading a game) when selecting other compatibility modes. I hope this helps others.
