Dream Pool by IGT is a rare slot that really tries something different and I give IGT credit for at least attempting a new concept and given that I was able to play for over 20 minutes and come out ahead, that does say something!
The base game is played on 2 standard reels with 5 positions in each. If you land the same symbol in adjacent positions horizontally, that initiates what are known as "Halo Reels" where symbols travel around the reels in a rectangular pattern and if they stop next to any previously locked symbols, another halo reel is triggered and you get another shot to do the same thing. If symbols on the current halo reel do not stop next to previously locked symbols, the feature concludes. It also concludes after 3 halo reels have been activated.
The Seahorse Bonus is triggered by landing bonus symbols on reels 1 and 2 for 7 free games and at the start of each free game, a Seahorse may lock random reel positions with multipliers of up to 5x after which the halo reels feature is activated and if your win uses any of them, all surrounding positions are multiplied by the specific multiplier. Retriggers are not possible with this one!
