Dreamfall Chapters is the crowdfunded sequel to acclaimed PC adventure games The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey. It's a point and click adventure set in 'our' dystopian future world, Stark, the 'fantasy' world Marcuria and the Undreaming, the place where dreams happen, where you start the game.

Initially you play as Zoë Castillo, physically in a coma in Stark but consciously in the Undreaming. You solve puzzles to rescue dreamers trapped in their own nightmares and send them back to their waking lives in Stark. Later in the game, as I understand it, you will get to visit the other two locations and play as other characters.

There are a number of bugs in the Linux version to do with controls and the saving of preferences, but the game is still playable. The puzzles so far have been straightforward enough for me to solve and not too distracting from the story. I like the art style, though it's graphically nothing too spectacular. Worth checking out the next time it comes up in the Steam sale.
