Dreams Gets Paid Early Access in Spring on PS4
3If you've been eagerly awaiting a chance to try out Dreams, Media Molecule's sort-of a game, sort-of a creation platform, then you might be in luck within the next few months.
While we still don't have a full release date for Dreams, Media Molecule has announced that the game's creation toolset, which was available in beta back in January, will be available in paid early access this spring.
The catch? Early access will be for the creation tools only, and will only be available to a "strictly limited" number of players.
According to a PlayStation blog post, the development team see this paid early access as a "way to put the game in the hands of our most enthusiastic dreamers and allow us to continue crafting and polishing it for everyone".
Our gut feeling after reading that statement is that this is basically a way to get excited players to start preparing good quality user-generated content, so that when the game does finally launch in full, there is a decent number of strong community creations ready to be experienced.
