Dream Shaping
Learn how to design your own games, animate, make music and more with easy-to-follow tutorial videos – and then share or collaborate with others. There are numerous tools available for creation including sculpting, painting, music tools and gadgets. Players can create content in the form of fully-fledged games, mechanics, assets, sculptures, music, and art, which can be shared or remixed to be used in others' creations. And not just games, but animation, all through powerful creation tools.
Gadgets can be configured, linked to other items such as sculptures, and other gadgets using wires and essentially form the gaming logic and game mechanics.
The user can publish their content online for others to play or experience, and optionally they can tag it as re-mixable which allows other creators to use it in their creations, build upon it or tweak it. Cooperative multiplayer is featured in the game, allowing players to create and manipulate their custom dreams together.
Dream Surfing
Browse through unique creations uploaded by other players. Rate them, recommend them to friends or take inspiration for your own designs. Dream Surfing can be thought of as the traditional play section where a player can browse for example games to play, assets, sculptures and art to view, or music to listen to. There is an option called Autosurf that presents the user with random games to play within a custom selection of games.
Dreams' levels are built up of one or more scenes, and these scenes are connected by different gateways. Players can create their levels in the game by using either custom objects, or pre-built assets created by other people which are available in the Dreamiverse.
The Effects panel has several options to choose from. Add Flow effect to a blue stretch and it looks like a river. Apply Evaporate effect on a white streak to transform it into rising smoke. Looseness effect affect the fuzziness of objects that gives the game its distinct, sublime art style.
The Stamp tool allows you to place down basic shapes in 3D space. By combining them, you can make your own custom assets. That’s where the Blend option comes in.
One of Dreams’ most surprising tools makes tedious actions a breeze. After laying out an initial block, you can make an identical copy with the cloning tool. You can insert as many more copies as you want with the Add Clone tool, automatically spaces out all of the duplicates.
Finishes apply an additional aesthetic effect to objects that make it seem like they’re made out of a different material – such as a shiny metal or a glossy wax.
Art's Dream

Homespace Editor
The Homespace is the central hub, or playground for players. There is a limited element of Dream Shaping, where players can manipulate and personalise the Homespace by adding pre-made objects.
Community Jam
is a themed contest, where creators create content based on that theme, and others vote on their favourites. The winners and runner-ups get a badge on their creation's page. The themes change every few weeks, for example "Spring Season" and "Pirates".
