Taking a break from Lands of Lore, I've decided to play Obduction, an adventurous puzzle game similar to (and made by the same people as) Myst and Riven. It was released today, August 24th, at 7am PDT.

I was a couple hours late in starting my stream and had some technical problems, but I'm still content with the progress I've made today. I'm sure someone smarter and faster than me (and with a better graphics card) has progressed much further than me by now, and several thousand at least will be done with the game completely by the time I get around to streaming Part 2 on Saturday or Sunday.

Between Part 1 and Part 2, I will enter the game to test if I can get the graphics to cooperate better (or hopefully a patch will resolve that among other issues), but I won't make any progress. I just wanted to make sure that game-halting explosion of pixels doesn't occur in future videos, if it's at all possible for me to avoid. I may even consider getting a new graphics card (which would of course delay future parts of this series immensely), but that's unlikely as I don't have the funds for that at the moment.

As a mathematician I am pleased with the topology of this game; it's quite interesting. The story is engaging to me as well.

Please do not spoil the story or anything I didn't do in this video. I do not need your tips and would rather figure out things myself during each stream.
