Final Chapter : Tanner will be recovered from coma.
( STORY )
You've realized what's going on around you, but it's still important to stop Jericho. Following a scene, you'll find yourself racing after Jericho again. The last time you fought him, he shifted into multiple vehicles and they tried to ram you. The same thing will happen here, but you need to focus on taking down Jericho's primary rig.
You are expected to follow Jericho at only a short distance. However, you still have time to do some shifting of your own. Look for a few vehicles in the oncoming lane (trucks work best if you can manage it, at least for one head-on hit) and throw them at Jericho. You should be able to quickly take out his truck before he has much time to throw vehicles of his own in your path.
Once you have disabled Jericho's vehicle, you'll have to chase him along the freeway. Now the mission grows more difficult. As Jericho drives, you'll see lightning bolts raining down from the sky. When they hit other vehicles, those vehicles launch straight into the air, then fly toward you as if thrown. You can steer left and right to avoid some of them, but it's easier to do so if you also boost to accelerate your dodges to the side.
The chase along the freeway will last for a long period of time, and you can only afford to take so many hits. Not only that, but hits also slow you and increase the chance that Jericho will manage to shake your pursuit. Keep moving diagonally left and right as you advance, so that you're not just driving in a straight path that makes you an easy target. Try try to put other vehicles between you and any of the cars that Jericho flings in your path. He'll throw the occasional truck and ambulance and such, as well, so be careful and try to give yourself time to get out of the way.
Eventually, Jericho will decide that tossing vehicles at you isn't having the desired effect. He'll start ramming cars in the lanes ahead of you and those vehicles will spin sideways, often steering into your lain. It's difficult to avoid such obstacles, but you can drive more slowly to add the amount of time you have to react. Just don't fall too far behind Jericho, and (as usual) keep some boost power available so that you can quickly catch up or dodge traffic in a pinch. After a moment, you'll have to deal with both the swerving traffic and thrown vehicles.
When you have driven long enough, you'll finally catch up to Jericho. Another scene unfolds, but you haven't cleared the mission yet. You'll soon appear back on the freeway.
Now your goal is to take Jericho down so you can finally escape your nightmare for good. To do so, you'll have to continue chasing him and dodging the vehicles that he throws at you, but you'll also have to throw vehicles at him. Just shift to target any vehicle ahead of your nemesis (trucks work best when available, as they do more damage). The throwing happens automatically.
Make sure that you don't hit your own thrown truck, and don't shift to throw a vehicle while you're dodging one that Jericho has thrown. You're more likely to take a hit if you do that and you can only sustain so many hits. Fortunately, any failure takes you back to this final leg of the nightmarish race. Keep trying until you finally take down Jericho's vehicle. Once you do, another scene follows and you're out of the nightmare.
