Chapter 7 : ANYTHING GOES
( STORY )
1. ENTRAPMENT
Objective: Investigate the lead on Leila.
There's been a tip that Leila is nearby, so you'll start by driving to the point where she was last seen. When you arrive, a scene follows and then you find yourself being pursued by baddies.
Drive along the freeway toward the destination indicated. You have to drive to a series of checkpoints now, each with a time limit attached. As you drive, black sedans will come out of the woodwork to try and bring things to a halt. You can typically boost past them or ram through them. Straight stretches will also allow you to leave them in your dust. Good driving makes it easy to reach each checkpoint with time to spare.
When you reach the last of the checkpoints, you finally find Leila. She'll take off and you can follow, but now it's no longer time to rely on standard racing. Shift into vehicles in the oncoming lane (fire trucks work well, for instance) and throw them in her path for head-on collisions. Remember to shift far enough ahead of Leila's current position that you have time to get in her way, particularly if you're using a slow-moving truck. A few direct hits will end Leila's escape attempt and also the mission.
2. DEJA VU
Objective: Wake up!
You will drive through the city in pursuit of Jericho now. Reaching the point indicated on the map shouldn't take you long. When you arrive, a scene follows and you'll find yourself driving through a nightmare city where you're the only human resident.
Here, the view occasionally shifts between the one you selected and a further perspective that is drawn out further. You still control the car from both perspectives, but when you see the camera pull back, you should look for ravens gathered in the street. They gather at intersections, so you should turn down whichever street has attracted their attention and keep going.
