Hello, everyone; it's Brandon. It's been a short while, and per usual, my life continues to transform in ways unimaginable. Suffering and happiness, gain and loss, agony and triumph...but I feel it. It's still there, banging on the walls of my skull. I cannot fight it any longer. The desire to become the Drop0ff. Tonight is purely about uploads, so my stories will keep until the coming weekend or so. Now, let's just celebrate a resurgence of the human spirit. And tonight's upload!
Friday Night Funkin' has been a moth flying around my front door for years, and it has been...persistent in its way. I'm folding, everyone; this is the beginning of a brand new business.
"Drop0ff's Friday Night Funkin' VS! Series" is a new addition to the channel that features a brand new challenge for me to take on every Friday.
Don't try removing any lint from your ears, you won't hear things any differently: "Drop0ff's Friday Night Funkin' VS! Series" is a go. On each Friday that is to come, you will hear a crazy new FNF song that puts Boyfriend in a completely different situation. Is he fighting a synthesizer? A refrigerator? A bird I saw coming home yesterday? Phil Swift from Flex Tape?! M E ? ! I have no idea. We're going to find out. Next week's slated release puts Boyfriend against The Batman, and I think you'll enjoy that one for sure...
Tonight's release, though, simply puts Boyfriend against Serum, a wavetable synthesizer that is commonly used for sound designing. It has been my trusty partner through a majority of my Dubstep products to date. Serum has no "voice clips", not exactly. Serum's voice is simply sound design. Wobbles and growls will control the song as the rest of the filling elements follow suit. Sing along with the beloved Boyfriend as you embark on a conceptual adventure that, if charted to accuracy, would actually make a very difficult battle! If you enjoy Dubstep, Trap, Drum & Bass, and other things of that variety, you'll thoroughly enjoy my product today.
If you enjoyed "VS! Serum", please consider sharing it with a friend who might also enjoy it, and follow this account for future uploads just like this one. See you next time!
Credits time! Yoohoo!
Sampled Tracks/Credits:
- The Friday Night Funkin' menu theme, "Gettin' Freaky", by Kawai Sprite.
Interesting Facts:
- Friday Night Funkin' is a fad that has levitated around me for a decent while now, and after a bit of delay, I found myself enjoying the original game; Pico's songs are my favorite by far.
- The idea of Serum "speaking" through sound design actually came quite naturally in the middle of the night. I tried thinking outside of the box for a concept that hadn't been touched upon yet, at least with 90% likelihood.
- The production time on this product was brief. I'd say no more than a few hours, all in.
- The song initially didn't feature the second "drop", so to speak, and it ended on a note that left many of my contacts feeling lukewarm about it. After a bit of reflection and introspection, the second drop alleviated this problem.
Bye!
