If your dryer hums but won't spin then this trick might work for you. When you're ready to start the dryer then use your knee to close the switch on the lower part of the dryer door while manually starting to turn the drum. The drum should start spinning and if it does then immediately close the door and it should keep spinning. You may have to do this a few times in order for it to work.
