Duck Tales Game Boy Playthrough Part 1: The Himalayas Part 1
14After completing the playthrough of the NES version, I decided to do a playthrough of its Game Boy counterpart to show off the similarities and differences. While technically the Game Boy version is a port of the NES, the level designs are completely different in it (though the locations are the same as the NES version).
To record the Game Boy version, I used the Super Game Boy adapter that allows me to play pre-color Game Boy carts in the Super Nintendo Entertainment System machine. One nice feature of Super Game Boy is that I can create my own four-color color palates, in which I used a different palate for each area.
This time Scrooge starts his adventure in the Himalayan Mountains, once again in search for the Lost Crown of Ghengis Khan (the treasures are the same in the Game Boy version). As you can see, the layout is significantly different from its NES counterpart.
