"Welcome to my walkthrough of the classic NES game, Ducktales 2. In this game, I embark on an exciting adventure filled with challenges and treasures.
Ducktales 2 is a non-linear game that allows me to choose and complete all levels in any particular order. However, there is a recommended order to follow to get the three power-ups: Hammer, Iron, and Power Adaptors, given to you by Gyro. The order I suggest is: Niagara, Bermuda, Mu, then either Scotland or Egypt.
The controls are similar to the previous game, making the cane jump easier to perform.
The basic movements of the protagonist include:
- *The Pogo Jump* : Jump into the air (with A) and press B. Unlike the first Ducktales, you do not need to press Down while jumping.
- *The Golf Swing* : Stand near a wall and Press B. While pressing against a wall, you can jump and swing your cane at the top of your jump.
- *Grab a Rope* : Jump toward the rope and press Up on the control pad.
To achieve the best ending, You need to find all seven pieces of the map. I start with one by default, another must be purchased, and the remaining five are hidden throughout the game - some of them are quite well-hidden, so I have to keep my eyes peeled!
In addition to the map pieces, there are five treasures protected by bosses in each stage. Defeating a boss will reveal a chest containing the stage's treasure. But that's not all - there are also two hidden treasures that are difficult to access, but I've managed to find them in this video. One is located on the Mu continent, and the other is hidden within the Egyptian pyramid.
