Dude plays Batman Arkham Asylum Part 1: Intro!
1Well hey, hey there folks and fellow YouTubers and welcome to part 1 of my first-ever start-to-finish walkthrough for a superhero game that walkthrough is Batman Arkham Asylum, the first-ever title in the Arkham series and that is because I have admittedly been wanting to do a walkthrough for a superhero game for quite some time now, especially a Batman game as he is one of my favorite superheroes ever aside from other characters like Spawn or Ghostrider, but overall I am much, much more of a DC fan than I am a Marvel fan and that's because I just like it's darker, grittier feel in combination with the use of fictitious American cities such as Gotham City, Metropolis, Keystone City among many other towns in the fictional DC universe though as that all in all give it a more gothic, wild and mythological feel of which I don't feel you get with Marvel as much.
Anyway, now let us talk about the plot of this game and some gameplay. Firstly, we shall discuss a little of the plot not enough to give away spoilers but just enough to give you guys an essential context, which is Batman himself has captured his archnemesis The Joker following an armed siege at the Gotham City hall and now is driving him all the way over the old and aged supervillain prison called Arkham Asylum, which is a psychiatric hospital where criminally insane patients are housed that can not belong in regular day to day society and yes, as I said that is where Batman is taking the clown prince of crime The Joker himself to be incarcerated as this building is also called "The Elizabeth Arkham Asylum for the insane" as it was founded by a man named Amadeus Arkham who ironically at some point got locked up in the mental hospital of his own making according to the Batman mythos.
Alright, so now I am gonna quit discussing plot details for the game just to avoid spoiling things for any of you guys who have never played this game before, and instead, I will now discuss gameplay for this specific part of the game, well, as some of you guys may know this game has both stealth elements as well as combat elements of course too such as we can sneak up behind enemies and quietly take them out without other enemies noticing or we can just essentially run in loudly and pick up a fight, both work though more or less equally well depending on the situation in the game you find yourself in and other times you will have to grapple onto other objects on ceilings like gargoyles, which of course, all makes sense as this is a gothic Victorian era insane asylum originally and so it would only make sense we found objects like this inside the building.
And whelp, I believe I shall go ahead and end the description for the video there folks, except I will go ahead and say that I will be starting two new walkthroughs this coming Monday, next week for Halloween, one a newer game called Pumpkin Jack and the other an old 90s game called Zombies Ate My Neighbors and again that is just because I want to do that as a way to celebrate Halloween and than of course at some point sooner or later we will go back to do some older walkthroughs for games I started a while I ago.
