Well, hello there folks and fellow YouTubers and welcome to my first ever gaming video for my 100 % walkthrough of the original MS-DOS Doom in what has clearly been a few weeks or longer perhaps. Still, finally, we have my gaming video for Episode 3, Mission 5: Unholy Cathedral, and man o man I must say this was not at all an easy level to master by any long shot as it took me a couple of weeks to really fully master this map myself, which is weird because normally it only takes me a couple of days to master a level in this game. Still, this map is a one-of-a-kind exception to that rule, at least in terms of all the levels I have played in this game thus far anyway but yes that is why it took me this long just to get this level made and of course, finally uploaded to YouTube itself.

And anyway, now in terms of gameplay this is a hard level, yes even for a pro like myself I had a lot of trouble mastering this level but as usual, like all the other levels I have done in this game thus far, I will describe what we need to do.

First, we will describe keys as there are only two on this map, how we get them however can be a little difficult and the video will show you guys how exactly we do that though. So anyhow, there are as I said just now two keys in this level. One red and the other yellow, how we grab them however could be a little bit difficult but not too hard though as you will see me explain in this video as it will involve a puzzle with a series of skull-switches that we need to act just to make that happen.

Okay, so now we will go onto secret areas which is the perhaps most difficult part of this level to master, at least if you are doing a Bigmacdavis-Style 100% walkthrough anyway. As typical though, I will time-stamp all the secret areas found in this level though. They are listed below:

First Secret Area: 0:53
Second Secret Area: 2:53
Third Secret Area: 3:54
Fourth Secret Area: 4:25
Fifth Secret Area: 5:29
Sixth Secret Area: 6:57
Seventh Secret Area: 9:04
Eighth Secret Area: 10:07
Ninth Secret Area: 10:35
Tenth Secret Area: 11:03
Eleventh and last secret area: 11:33

And so those are eleven secret areas on this map altogether and getting all of them as I said can be a challenge as you had seen involving those demonic red-brick buildings as that is where we find most of the secret areas in this level apart from a few others. Now, in terms of enemies taking them all out and eliminating them in this level is pretty straightforward but there is this one area near the end of the level itself where it can be a little more challenging as there are few enemies you could easily miss and my video will show you how we complete that area.
