About this video:
This footage comes from the leaked prototype dated January 4, 1996, which is free to download. The leak was only a shareware version, so only the first episode and 6 of the weapons are included.
This video shows gameplay on "Headache" difficulty. There are 5 difficulty settings: Easy, Medium, Normal, Hard, and Headache. Enemies respawn on the last two difficulties, and cheats are allowed on all difficulties.
Cheats were used. This footage is just meant to showcase the prototype.
Key bindings can be changed, but the modern WASD control scheme doesn't seem to work correctly. (Sorry for the janky movement and random jumping!)

Notes on Spaceport 2000:
The beginning of the level was cutdown in the final version to improve the game's frame rate on 1996 computers.
The top of the indoor control tower has windows on either side of the door in this version. These windows were also likely removed for performance reasons.
In the final version, the room overlooking the launch pad has had a wall added to improve the frame rate, and the launch pad itself has been entirely redesigned, likely also to improve the frame rate.
This version does not yet have the secret compartment in the wall across from the switch that opens the door to the launch pad.
Regrettably, a secret area was missed in this clip near the beginning of the level; after flipping the switch at the top of the indoor control tower, an underwater passage opens in the pool of toxic waste. This leads to a secret area that is actually slightly different from the final version. In particular, there is a second secret compartment inside one of the walls of this room in the final version (not counted as a secret) which has not yet been added in this prototype.
The level-end screen incorrectly shows the level's name as "Toxic Beach Head". This is a glitch, possibly related to the use of the dnwarp cheat. The level's real name can be seen for a couple frames at the beginning of the video: "Bonus Level: Spaceport 2000".
