Dump Stat ep 5: Better Travel
Today we discuss the ways we can make travel interesting in campaign, may it be land or sea travel, from encounters to the weather.
1. Randomly generate weather (Pathfinder Core Rulebook, http://donjon.bin.sh/d20/weather/ )
2. Generate environment (Ultimate Campaign, http://wizardawn.and-mag.com/tool_world.php )
3. Random Encounters (Ultimate Campaign, Roll a d4, 1 – best encounter, 2- better / indifferent 3- unfriendly 4 – hostile)
4. Make encounters more interesting (Better Battles – Fistful of Dice), Determine time for Random Encounters (d6 + d12 - 1-3 = AM, 4-6 PM, d12 determines hour)
5. Make travel dynamic (Better travel rules, come up with responsibilities or another mechanic)
