On Friday October 14th, Square Enix dropped a new RPG directed by the legendary Hiroyuki Ito who also directed Final Fantasy VI, Final Fantasy IX, and Final Fantasy XII, while also being a contributor to many other Final Fantasy games and Chrono Trigger. He is also the man responsible for creating the Active Time Battle (ATB) system used in Final Fantasy 4-9 and Chrono Trigger which is also used Square Enix' latest game, Dungeon Encounters.

Dungeon Encouters is a very text based, old school kind of game that reminds me of games like Wizardry, Mordor: Depths of Dejonol and other similar titles of that era but with some Final Fantasy elements in it just as the Active Time Battle. Featuring classical music remixes by the legendary Nobuo Uemastu and art by Ryoma Ito who is most famous for the art for Final Fantasy XII.
