In the spirit of recent retail reincarnation of many classic AD&D games, I was inspired to play some of this fine sample of the genre.

Starting out with Mr Blackwell (who we even tweak to give cleric spells), we are cut down so fast that we might as well have been squished by the drawbridge on our way in! We then more on to the paladin, Tabitha, who fares (just) better than Blackwell...

Perhaps a sporadic hardcore LP is in order. See how far we can get with one adventurer, and then try to break that record!
