Session XXIII - Part 3 Summary:
Rekoj kicks the doors open. Fungus-coated stairs lead down into a natural cave. Much of the cavern is filled with a stagnant pool of brackish water. A patch of land rises from the foul water at the pool's center. On this little island, bones, spilled coins and other small objects are visible among the carpet of fungus: John's phat lewt.
Ripples stir the calm water, as though something moves beneath its surface.
Coltaine tosses a rock into the water. Nothing happens, until the dank water suddenly disgorges a blob of blue slime. The amorphous mass pours forward, extruding long pseudopods that end in appendages of dripping goo.
Initiative is rolled.
Lynx Zook is first to act. He swims to the island.
With a standing long jump, Rekoj leaps ten feet over the water and lands on the island. The goliath then attacks the slime.
Autumn moves into the pool, rolling a 1 on her swim check and sinks underwater.
