I wanted to make it like Bioshock's Rapture, but it quickly devolved into "The Island of Dr. Moreau" because there were just too many animal people picking fights, injuring my dwarves, then giving my dwarves traumatized "bad thoughts" whenever they defend themselves (because it counts as the killing of a sentient humanoid.)

But admittedly, I struck the earth too greedily and too quickly. I could have fortified better if I realized earlier the savagery was going to burn me down.
