Dying Light 2 - Part 35 - The Final Battle
0Hey everyone and welcome back to Dying Light 2.
We see Waltz trying to cure Mia from a virus, Waltz tells Aiden that he is the person who can save her. We see that the promise Aiden actually made was to Waltz and not to Mia. Waltz tells us that Mia is his daughter. Aiden has more questions than ever but we need to stop the missiles. We confront Waltz but he tells us Mia needs this to happen, what could he mean? We now need to fight Waltz again for the GRE key to stop the missiles. Waltz is very fast and strong so we need to be careful. Waltz is willing to risk everything to have these missiles go off. After a long fight Aiden and Waltz are both exhausted, Waltz talks to us about Mia and the past. We tell Waltz that Mia would not want everyone to die so she can be saved.
To stop us telling her Waltz injects himself an attacks us. Waltz is now to far gone to speak to, we have to just fight to survive. There are good people in the city who are depending on us. We take Waltz down again and try to get the key but he injects himself with more, he is risking death for these missiles. We defeat Waltz but before he gives us the key Mia stops us. Mia needs oxygen to survive, but she is sick of all the tests, Mia gives us the key but Waltz pushes it into the chemicals destroying it. There is nothing we can do now but get Mia back to her oxygen tank to keep her alive. All this time Waltz has been caring for Mia, keeping her alive. Lawan radios us and we tell her the key has been destroyed.
We have to find another way to stop the missiles. We try to stop is but Waltz begs us not to. Lawan and Aiden come up with a plan to place bombs on the missiles and destroy them before the missiles hit the city. Lawan is ready to set of the explosives but we have an option to save her. We take this as we promised Frank we would keep her save. Aiden has to make some tough decisions and Lawan wants to save the city. We allow Lawan to detonate the bombs, this might hurt Mia but we cant allow the city to be destroyed killing so many innocent.
Lawan tells us to take Mia and leave to a save location. We carry Mia and move as fast as we can. During our exit we hear Lawan saying her final goodbyes to us. Without hesitation Lawan blows up the missiles saving the city, could there have been another way? Could we have saved her?
As the city was saved by Lawan the peacekeepers have taken over a large amount of the city, this is not what the survivors wanted but it has brought some structure to the city. As we spared Hakon's life throughout the game he was able to be there for Lawan at the end saving her life just in time. We see Spike enter the fisheye delivering a package.
We are now in the building with Waltz and we know he has Mia, we need to get to them and save her. We waste no time getting to waltz and asking for answers. Waltz tells us to leave before he kills us. Aiden keeps question Waltz and he asks us if we really don't remember anything from the past. What could he mean? Waltz tells us that the missiles are to late to stop. Waltz pushes us to remember the past and what really happened. Spikes about us and tells Spike that we have now left the city.
We see Aiden leaves the city, Mia lived for a couple more hours after the missiles were destroyed. Aiden stayed with Mis until her very last moments. Aiden knows he is changing and can not stay around the people he cares about in the city. Even after everything Aiden did he is still facing the world alone, he knows he's dangerous and he would not put anyone else in danger.
