Here's another guide! I already had the weapon, so yeah. You still get the item report and you can pick it up, but you won't get it after the battle if you already have it.

You need to defeat Ling Tong and Ling Cao 凌操 within two minutes of the
stage starting.

Strategy: Xia Kou is a 1-star difficulty stage, so this is actually
quite simple if you remember one little thing. Ling Tong goes into hyper mode after you kill Ling Cao. So gun for Ling Tong first before Ling Cao. If you defeat them in the allotted time, then you should earn the item report.
