Living In The Joy features reggae band Earth and the Fullness from iconic seaside community Jamnesia in Bull Bay, Jamaica. Jamnesia is also known as one of the places where the reggae revival movement was nurtured and birthed.

Living in the Joy is a song inviting us to remember that we are greater than whatever it is that would hold us down. It can be easy to focus on the negative especially as it can be so glaring, but while it is important to recognise challenges, even more so is upliftment, strength and ultimately rising above.

The video for Living in the Joy is a metaphor saying: remember there is power and joy to be had when you tap in to who you truly are. Instead of being stuck in the negative, trust the process, persist, and put your energy into living in the joy so you can better create it.

The song highlights Rastafari because of the crucial role His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I and his devotees have played in generating a revived culture of peace, natural livity, focus, creativity, discipline and happiness as values to be respected and integrated at all levels of society. Not the least of this manifestation is the growth of reggae music as a tool for sharing positive messages and rhythms that make you dance.

The images of artwork by Ras Daniel Heartman, used with the permission and support of his Estate, highlight the work of the late iconic artist. The images, Prince Emanuel and Annie, represent the strength and beauty possessed in childhood: our ability to dream, to play, to stand up for ourselves, to keep going, and the honesty of the inner-self. It is significant that the images are used with permission as Prince Emanuel, aka Rasta Baby, has only this year been used with legal license to benefit the Estate and its work.
