Easy to make counter light bowgun build for Alatreon. People who are having trouble with Alatreon, you guys can use this build which does not require any Alatreon armor or weapon. It takes a bit of time for the hunt but still works pretty well.
And here are some tips for the hunt ~
Info : The Escaton Judgment (the special attack/supernova) is an elemetal dps check attack meaning it is only deadly when you haven't done enough elemental dps. By doing enough elemental dps the Escaton Judgment can be out healed (dodging, mantles, superman dive everything is useless against this move). Use ice element when Alatreon is fire active and use fire element when he is ice active. Try to focus on the horns, after the horns are broken Alatreon can not change mode so the fight gets pretty easy.
Tips 1) Use elemental weapons and do scout out his move set by practicing one or two times the hunt. Alatreons moves are very telegraphed so if you practice the hunt it should become quite easy to dodge all of his moves.
2) Wall slam Alatreon every time he is not enraged (this helps with the horn breaking plus does quite a lot of damage.)
3) If you do enough elemental damage Alatreon will fall down and the handler will say something like "you are doing a good job containing Alatreons power", that is the queue that you can out heal the damage of the Escaton Judgment.
4) You should also take the health booster+ just to be safe. When alatreon starts doing the Escaton Judgment, setup the health booster and start eating astera jerky till the end of the move.
5) Giving your palico the vigorwasp spray and and a sleep weapon also helps quite a lot and do eat for safeguard.
6) Always take fortitude, fortitude buffs both attack and defense.
Side Note :
The Alatreon lbg is literally counter lbg for alatron so if you are still having trouble with alatreon make the lbg first and just swap out the blaze lbg from this build with the Alatreon lbg.(the Alatreon lbg is also the new elemental meta lbg). Once you learn the fight, the hunt gets really fun. The developers really did a great job with Alatreon.
