This is my preferred method for defeating the Globe Holder in Ecco: ToT. I describe the methods, and then I'll demonstrate how effective it is.

One thing I've noticed in both descriptions and videos for the Globe Holder is that people just go crazy on it from the getgo. Swimming around it, charging it, sonaring everywhere. But it's unnecessary. You can separate the Globe Holder from the wall in 3 or 4 sonar blasts total.

_THEN_ you can go crazy :).

Once the tendril cords are destroyed I do take a lot of risks because - hey, that's the exciting way to fight Globe Holder! But you can pay it "safe" if you want.

Thing is, it's pretty unpredictable. So at the very least, you make the first phase as short as possible, and go your own way for the second phase.
