Eclipse IoT Day ECE 2017 – Service Blueprint and Deployment for an IoT Cloud Integration Platform
Eclipse Kapua is modular micro service-based IoT cloud platform that provides management for Internet of Things (IoT) gateways and smart edge devices. Kapua bridges the gap between Operation Technology with Information Technology, between the complex and fragmented world of the IoT devices with the enterprise IT infrastructure. This session introduces the Eclipse Kapua project focusing on its architecture, service model and blueprint, modularity, and deployment options. It will provide an opportunity to showcase Eclipse Kapua running on OpenShift and discuss how to bring up, deploy, manage, and scale it in various deployment scenarios from public cloud to on-premise installations. It will also discuss the Eclipse Kapua Service Blueprint and how to extend Eclipse Kapua by building newer services and making them available to the Eclipse community. Finally, it will provide a roadmap for the integration of Eclipse Kapua with other Eclipse IoT projects.
