The Eclipse SCADA project provides a SCADA system platform which can be used to interface with industrial hardware, monitor values and states, archive events and values and visualize the state of complex industrial systems. Still, due to the flexible nature of the software, in can also be used to interface with less industrial systems and provide the same functionality.
This talk will give an introduction into the Eclipse SCADA project. Present shortly what a SCADA system is and the basic ideas behind Eclipse SCADA are. It will give an overview about the different modules and the architecture of Eclipse SCADA and close with the demonstration of a very small system setup.
