UPDATE: They keep moving the location of the save file but as long as you can find it in your steam folders it will all still work the same...
Mine is currently at c:\program files (x86)\Steam\userdata\{some numbers}\1794680\remote
Yours may not have the {some numbers} folder.
Just search your hard drive from your steam folder for "savedata.sav" and you will find it!

* Make sure you erase the checksum value so it shows checksum="" before saving the file and running the certutil command or else the new hash will not be correct!
This video will show you how to easily edit your Vampire Survivors savedata.sav file without getting any errors in just a few steps. They may change this in the future to prevent this method from working, but I'll figure it out and make another video. Don't worry your pretty little faces.

I know the volume is quiet and the quality is not great. I will work on solutions for increasing the mic volume and hopefully find a balance on volume without picking up too much background noise. I just wanted to get this video made and did it quickly to get this information out there.

Follow the steps in the video.

Windows key + R then type CMD + hit enter to enter command prompt.

Once you are in the folder with your savedata.sav file:
the certutil command is: certutil -hashfile savedata.sav sha256

There are multiple ways to edit text in a command prompt. Right-click and select Mark or hit CTRL+M. Then you can highlight the hash given by holding down the left button of your mouse and scrolling until you have the whole hash highlighted. Let go of the mouse button and hold down CTRL and hit C.
Now you can paste the hash between the quotation marks of checksum="" in the savedata.sav file by clicking between the quotation marks and holding down CTRL and hitting V or right-clicking and choosing PASTE.

Just ask in the comments for any other questions or issues with my instructions. I should answer until I've long forgotten about this video because it's been a long time. If so I'm sorry.

So remember:
Step #1: Edit the savedata.sav file however you like. You can do more than edit your coins this way.
Step #2: Delete the hash between the quotation marks in checksum=""
Step #3: Save the file.
Step #4: Open a command prompt.
Step #5: Navigate to the folder containing savedata.sav
Step #6: Type certutil -hashfile savedata.sav sha256 and hit enter.
Step #7: Copy and paste the hash in-between the quotation marks at checksum=""
Step #8: Save the file again.
Step #9: Now you can run the game.
