Editing Inactivity from Painting Time Lapses
I have long admired those slick time lapse painting videos that only show major brush strokes, without any empty space without action. Unfortunately, my editing skills aren't up to that level! In this video, I discuss my experience trying to remove inactivity in my time lapses. So far, I haven't found a way to make this easier - and I'm surprised with all of the AI tools now that there isn't a way to automate this. Or maybe there is and I don't know about it? If so, please sound off in the comments! I'd love to learn more.
The painting on screen is my 255th overall, of a lady casting a shadow against a wall. I kind of overdid it on lighter accents within the shadow, but overall a solid effort! As a side note, my pace has really slowed down this year...this is only my 18th painting of 2025, after having done 58 in 2024 and 147 in 2023. But hey, that's life sometimes isn't it? Hobbies naturally have to take a backseat at times I suppose.
