Can you use something like Windows Movie Maker for everything, or do you need an upgrade?

Certain types of videos need better programs. For instance, a normal let's play can be made with simple editors, but a montage can only be made with the best editors. Other types of gaming videos and set ups can be created with Movie Maker, but are made way better with things like Adobe Premier or Sony Vegas.
