eFootball 2022 Penalty Shootout Multiplayer - Napoli vs FC Barcelona Gameplay 1080p (PES or Fifa22?)
eFootball 22 release horrifies fans with player faces & broken crowds gameplay - almost only bad reviews on steam (7% positive upvotes out of 6.000 so far). It seems like PES22 has no chance against Fifa22, not yet atleast. Konami’s eFootball 22 is off to a rocky start as fans have captured some of the its in-game player faces and crowd models looking distorted:
eFootball 22 is the dawn of a new era for Konami, but its legendary football franchise is horrifying gamers with its captured player faces and broken crowds.
Given that eFootball 22 is a fresh start for Konami in the battle with FIFA for the love of football fans everywhere, early indicators are that its player models and crowds need some TLC.
For the longest time, FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer have competed to deliver the best simulation of the beautiful game, and Konami hit the reset button this year by rebranding as eFootball, a free, live service version of its regular offering.
But images shared across social media have worried fans as some horrifying and warped images have raised questions about eFootball 22.
▶ eFootball 2022: Steam release with 9 (!) percent approval:
The free-to-play title eFootball 2022 is now available for download. The PES successor gets bad reviews on Steam.
On July 21, Konami announced the upcoming part of the PES series, which will henceforth take to the field under the name eFootball against FIFA. Unlike in the past, everyone can play eFootball for free. Gone are the days of an annual, chargeable new part with only a few changes. With the Free2Play model, Konami wants to put its competitor EA under pressure, as the Americans are charging between 60 and 100 euros for the upcoming FIFA 22 as the successor to last year's FIFA 21. EFootball 2022 is now available as a free download. The player reviews on Steam speak for themselves.
▶ That bothers football fans at eFootball 2022:
Around two years ago, the Japanese developer studio Konami announced that it would take a year off after eFootball PES 2021 in order to get started with a new engine. The result is called eFootball and relies on the Unreal Engine 4. In the future, Konami wants to keep the soccer game up to date with updates. As can be seen from the reviews on Steam, the developers still have a lot of work to do. The completely redesigned engine, which replaces the in-house development Fox, does not appeal to most Steam players at all. So you are bothered by the lousy duel behavior of the virtual kickers and the ball has - felt - a weight of several hundred kilograms. In addition, the display is locked to 60 fps.
At the time of writing the article, 3.900 reviews had been submitted, 3.600 of which were negative. Only nine percent of the reviews are positive. In addition to the outdated engine, players are also bothered by lag when playing online. In an initial statement, Konami has at least promised to improve the defensive duel behavior after the defense of some players did not respond to any commands, at least if you have made an individual key assignment.
Analogous to FIFA Ultimate Team, you will be able to create your own soccer team in eFootball in the menu item My Team, which is currently grayed out, by buying soccer players using virtual currency or concluding a random deal and receiving a virtual soccer player selected by the system. The corresponding game mode called Creative League should be available as a free update this year. There will also be a match-pass system, whereby you can earn rewards in the form of virtual objects by completing games. In the future Objectives section, you have to complete challenges in order to receive in-game rewards. Of course there will also be online tournaments.
