In today’s video we’ll be checking out the Redut-T5 which is ridiculously cheap on Ragman 4, despite having the highest effective durability of all the Class 5 armors. It’s a bit like “The Zabralo of Class 5”, but can cost 130k or even lower sometimes if you can snag the barter items at the right time, and with the advent of the repair kits this is actually a significant buff to the overall economics of the T5 as well.
Otherwise known as the “samurai armor”, the Redut T5 can soak up an incredible amount of damage, and being class 5 only starts to have trouble with 7.62 BP and above - and even then, the high durability allows it to withstand shots from top tier rounds much more effectively than the cheaper armors in the same class.
The downside to the Redut is that it makes your PMC very slow, but in 12.12 this is less of an issue than it once was. I’ve been using this armor a lot recently and it’s become one of my favorites given the incredible price of the barter.
